The ancient city of Ibadan is set to host the 4th edition of the Ibadan Basketball Championship, scheduled to take place from January 17th to 18th, 2025, at the Adamasingba Stadium Basketball Court.
According to Anthony George, a member of the organizing committee, all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a successful tournament.
The goal of the championship is to discover new talent and promote basketball development in Ibadan.
For the organizers, the championship holds a special significance. “Each one of us started our basketball journey in Ibadan, at Adamasingba,” George explained. “It’s a way for us to give back to our community.”
This year’s edition promises to be exciting, with non-stop action from the best male and female basketball teams, wheelchair basketball, cash prizes, live music, food, and community vibes.
