School of Management and Business Studies playmaker, Opeyemi Alagbala fondly called Peller has expressed his desire to emerge as the highest goal scorer in the ongoing 2025 Yaba Technology Student Union Government (YASUG) League.

Peller scored a hat trick during the matchday 6 fixture against School of Science, accounting for his total number of 8 goals.

The 8 goals has positioned him at the top of the goalscorers’ chart, setting him on the path of increasing his goals to double digit before the end of the league.

Beyond the goals elevating Peller’s football pedigree, it has also contributed to the progress of his club trailing a point behind school of Part-time who are the leader on the log with 13 points.

In an interview with sportxvibe.com.ng, Peller revealed his intention to become the high goalscorer of the collegiate football league, alluding the dint of hard work and dedication as the factors to achieve his desire.

“Absolutely, that’s one of my key goals in this league. I believe in aiming high and pushing myself beyond limits. I know it won’t come easy, but I am committed to working hard, staying focused, and taking every chance that comes my way,” he said.

He attributed passion and the love for the game as the fuel igniting his drive to score, however, saying it is not for personal achievement for the success of the club.

“What drives me is passion, the love for the game, the support from my team, and my Coursemate, and the hunger to make a difference every time I step on the pitch. Scoring goals isn’t just about personal stats, it’s about lifting the team, inspiring others, and proving that hard work truly pays,” he said.

SMBS will play against School of Engineering on Wednesday, July 2 in match day 7.
