University of Lagos Science Education Students Association, ULSESA and Human Kinetics and Human Education, HKHE have been crowned the winners of the maiden Nigerian Universities Education Students’ Association, NUESA of the UNILAG chapter in both male and female categories respectively.
In the male category, ULSESA edged Educational Management Students’ Association, EMSA to clinch the title while HKHE thrashed the football team of the Technology and Vocational Education, TVE, 3-0 to claim the title in the female category.
The final match was played in ISL pitch.
Elated by the success of the competition, the NUESA’s sports secretary’s Olasubomi Ogundele expressed her commitment to the growth of sports in the faculty, saying this is the maiden edition of such competition.
“It’s the first time the freshers football game happened in the faculty in a long while now cos I have no knowledge that it has been done before,” she said.
