Sequel to the goal fest in the match between Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) and Enyimba International which ended 7-1 in favor of the Oluyole boys at the ongoing U-15 NPFL/LA LIGA 2022 edition, the club’s U-15 coach Mojeed Ladoja has revealed that more concentration has been on how to attack during training.
The Oluyole boys rendered hapless the defense of their opponent, dominating from their own half to the half of the Aba boys to registered on Monday the highest score line since the commencement of this year edition at Remo Star Stadoium, Ikenne, Ogun state.
In a chat with sportxvibe.com.ng, the Ibadan lord gaffer quipped that no stone was left unturned in ensuring that the players were trained on how to break the defense of their opponent and convert their chances.
“The preparation was solid, we prepared very well, we trained the boys physically, mentally and technically, we train almost every day, it is only today that we don’t train and we ask them to relax, nothing like anything like the determination, the training and the commitment of the boys. We have trained them, we kept shouting on them to remind them, we thank we were able to get the desire.
“During training, almost, we make a lot of correction in their attack, we know football is scoring of goals, whether, you like it or not if you dribble, making passes without no scoring goal, you have nowhere to go, that is the reason, we concentrate more on the attack during our training, take them one or one, take on crossing and shoot and head and those were the goals we scored today. We scored with the head and the leg.” He said.
Ahead of their next match against the defending champion Katsina United, Ladoja alluded that it would not be a stroll in the park but aimed gathering maximum three points.
“We are going to play against the defending champion, the club that won the cup last year Katsina United, and we are prepared for them. It is going to be a tough match but we are prepared for them.” He said.
