NYG: Ekiti medal hopeful’s Seyi Ogunsakin bow out in tennis Q/F

EKITI state medal hopeful in tennis, Seyi Ogunsakin has bowed out in the quarter-finals of the tennis game at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games, in Asaba, Delta state.

Ogunsakin, whose prowess in the game of tennis was challenged by Delta state’s Aina Henry today (Tuesday) on the lawn tennis ground inside Grand hotel, lost in a straight set 1-4, 2-4 in the boy’s singles.

Speaking after the match, he described his experience at the National Youth Games as a memorable one, saying he will not rest on his oars ahead of the next edition.

“I had a good experience because he is a senior player, I tried but next time when we meet, I am going to beat him. 

“I appreciate the organizer of the National Youth Games, when I return home, I will return to train,” he said.

He posited that in the next five years, he will become a world champion

“In the next five years, I won’t be in Nigeria. I will make sure I become the world number one in the next five years,” he said.
