Bayero University, Kano (BUK), continues to shine at the ongoing 27th Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) taking place at the University of Jos, with yet another impressive showing in tennis.
BUK’s rising star, Mohammed Sule Imam demonstrated outstanding skill and determination, defeating his opponents from the University of Maiduguri (3–1) and the host institution, University of Jos (2–0) in commanding fashion.
With these convincing victories, Imam has booked his place in the Round of 16, keeping BUK’s golden dream alive in the fiercely contested tennis event.
BUK’s Chief Coach, Salim Rabiu Mohammed, expressed delight over the player’s excellent performance, describing Imam as “a talented and focused athlete who continues to make the university proud.”
He added that he remains optimistic about the young star’s chances of progressing even further in the tournament.
