The momentum of the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL and LA LIGA U-15 Promises Youth League has increased as Kano Pillars and the Mountain of Fire Ministries, MFM FC have secured their spot in the quarterfinals.

The two teams from group A finished with six points respectively to maintained their participation in this year edition tourney held in Ikenne.

Their counterparts in the same group; Lobi Stars and Plateau United were sent packing from the tourney as they finished with three points respectively.

In the match day 6 that decided their fate, Kano Pillars bounced back from their 2-0 defeat against Plateau United in the last match to win MFM FC 3-0. Thanks to Bashir Mohammad, Idris Khamis and Shamsudeen that scored the three goals.

At the end of match, there were predictions that if Plateau United who were on three point before their against Lobi Stars could win their match against their opponent who were on zero point, MFM hope for the next round would be dashed.

Conversely, Lobi Stars ended the tourney with 3 points registered for them on the log, surprisingly won Plateau United 2-1. Thanks to Abater Karshima and Iortyer Sesugah while Kelvin Adeyemo goal was not enough to save his team.

Reacting to the match, Kano Pillar U-15 coach Suleiman Ibrahim fondly called Coach Legend felt excited for the maximum, dedicating the victory to people of Kano state.

“I feel very delighted for the victory, so it through the support and hard work of the technical crew and the players.

“So in the last two days, we have been working hard to correct our past mistakes during our second match.

“We dedicated this victory to our people of Kano state, our governor and our humble chairman, we are very happy about this victory.” He said.

Also, MFM FC U-15 coach, Adeshina Yusuf, thanked God Almighty for their victory, saying that the lost against Kano Pillars was hinged on the non availability of some of their players who had injuries.

“Firstly, I thank God because that is the reason why we are here, I give Kudos to my boys.It happens like that in football, we can’t predict what will happen in the next game but we know where we missed it, by God grace, we are going to amend it in our next match.

“And most of the player, like 4or 5 of them have injuries, we have no excuse to use those one that have not played before, most of them are playing their first match before they understand what is happening , that
that is why we got the result.” He said.
