The board of the Nationwide League One, (NLO) has withdrawn Spartan FC and eleven others football clubs over non compliance to making full payment of the registration fee within the stipulated period for registration.
In a letter addressed to the clubs’ chairmen with NNWL/LGMT/03/111, dated 9 April, 2024, signed by the league manager Egbaiyelo Tayo (MON), it revealed the clubs which were unable to complete their payment.
The football club include; Rising star FC Jigawa, Royal FC Kano, Spartans FC Lagos, Sky Limit FC Kano Mimbaiyya FC Kano, Jedo FC Sokoto, Dabo Babes Kano, Champions FC, Travellers FC Kano, AA Zaura FC Kano, Tahir Babes FC Kano and Olegacy FC Uyo.
“Please accept the compliments and warm sporting regards from the Chairman, Management and Staff of the Nationwide League One (NLO).
“I am directed to inform you that due to the non-compliance to making full payment of the registration fee within the stipulated period for registration, we are constrained to inform you that registration has been closed,” the letter reads.
The league’s management assured to refund the initial paymemts made for the registration, urging the clubs to forward their accounts details.
The NLO 2024 season commences on Saturday 13th April.
