Spartan Fc forward Ayangba De Samson has begun the race for the highest goal scorers after he netted thrice during the Nationwide League One (NLO) match day one against Alimicity at the Maracana stadium in Ajegunle Lagos.
The match ended 6-1 in favor of Spartan FC.
Junior, who scored a hat trick in the first twenty-five minutes, however suffered a setback as he was replaced late in the first half after securing an injury.
In an interview with sportsvibe.com.ng, he prayed for quick recovery, saying the injury cast a doubt of his participation in the next match against Collins Edwin FC
“I am not sure yet if I will play the next match. I haven’t heard from the medical team yet, they asked to just relax and get some treatment.
He said his target is to score more goals for his team.
