A United State based sports institution Tyler Junior College has offered a Nigerian grassroot sports outfit- Alimosho FC Ladies player Samiat Azeez a full athletic scholarship.
The club made this announcement via its LinkedIn account on Wednesday April 17, 2024, crediting Uburu Africa for facilitating the scholarship.
According to the club, the player debuted for the club at The SocialLiga as a center back in 2019 after she was scouted from Ijamido Queen in Ota, Ogun state.
The club stated that Samiat, fondly called Sammy, was in action for the club for two seasons in 2022 and 2023 before heading to school in Wasimi and playing for Chosen FC.
While in Alimosho FC ladies, Sammy was instrumental to the squad who won the Social Liga back to back and also was in the team that represented Nigeria and won the National Redbull Neymar five side in Qatar.
