Dazzle FC and Lagos Soccer Stars have emerged as champions in the U12 and U9 gold categories respectively at the 4th edition of the Islanders Supa Liga (iSupaLiga), concluding an action-packed tournament filled with talent, energy, and sportsmanship.
The grand finale, held over the weekend at the American International School, Lagos, saw Edufootsports finish as winners in the U12 silver category, while Dazzle FC also clinched silver in the U9 division.
The journey to the final was fiercely contested, featuring six of Lagos’ top football academies: Lagos Soccer Stars, Juventus Academy Nigeria, Edufootsports, Dazzle FC, CityFut Escola, and Lagos Bright Stars. Weekly matches lit up various venues across the city, drawing passionate crowds and showcasing a vibrant display of youth football.

From dazzling footwork to inspiring teamwork, the tournament captured the essence of grassroots football development, giving young players the opportunity to shine in a competitive but supportive environment.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, tournament coordinator Muhammed Yussuf highlighted the league’s mission: “Our goal has always been to discover new talent and instill core values like resilience, grit, and teamwork in these young players. Since launching in 2021, we’ve remained committed to providing a nurturing and criticism-free platform, especially for beginners.”
Co-organizer Adeyemi Adesanya also expressed appreciation for the venue and the event’s supporters: “We’re grateful to the American International School for hosting the finals and to everyone who contributed to this year’s success. We’re now calling on sponsors to help us grow even bigger next season.”
