It was an atmosphere of funfair in Anambra as Aguata Grassroot Sport Development Academy (GSDA) was claimed as the winner of the maiden Igwe Nanka Youth Sport Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) U-17 tournament played at NEROS sports.The hard fought match which ended 1-1 between the team from Ekwulobia and GP WORLD FA, Nnewi on regular time was decided by penalties on a 4-2 score line in favour of the Aguata GSDA.
Ifeanyi Ede gave the GP WORLD an early lead after an assist from Stanley Ezim, to give his team the lead into half time.
Aguata GSDA replied the goal in the second half to level the score line which led into penalties.
Earlier in the day, Hark Doves defeated JEFAB FA 3-1 to win the 3rd place final and a bragging right.
GP WORLD FC smiled home with a sum of N150,000 while third place winner Hark Doves received N100,000 and fourth place winner JEFAB FA got N50,000.
