NBBF/Zenith Women’s Premier League: Royal Aces Dominate Nasarawa Amazons with a 97-59 Victory

Royal Aces defeated Nasarawa Amazons 97-59, in a commanding display during Matchday 4 of the NBBF/Zenith Women’s Premier League, Savannah Conference at the Lafia Sports Arena.

This marks Royal Aces’ third win out of four games in the competition.

Royal Aces previously secured wins against Air Warriors (64-63) and Plateau Rocks (53-44) but suffered a loss to Nigeria Customs (69-55) on Matchday 1. Their latest victory over Nasarawa Amazons further strengthens their position in the league.

Royal Aces head coach, Olusegun Ojo, attributed the win to teamwork and improved focus.

“We worked hard on our lapses in concentration and fatigue during the second half. The team is blending well, and the synergy is evident,” he said, noting that a defensive strategy was key to their success.

On the other side, Nasarawa Amazons head coach, Emmanuel Danjuma Mwarak, praised his players despite the loss.

“My girls gave it their all. These rookies have greatly improved from our previous matches, and I believe they will get better,” he stated.

Nasarawa Amazons have now lost three consecutive games, following earlier defeats to Kada Angels (53-47) and Nigeria Customs (68-30), though they won by walkover against Nigeria Army on Matchday 1.
