Homat Pivotal school girls win Lagos private schools Proprietor’s cup, sweep 4 awards

The Homat Pivotal school won the females category for the 5th edition of the Lagos private secondary schools football competition tagged ‘Proprietor’s cup’ as they defeated Caleb International College, 3-1.


A brace from the Homat Pivotal school captian Gift Oyeku in either half and Delight Achosim handed them the trophy but Caleb international college player Emmanuella Beyor gave her school a consolation goal via free kick.

At the presentation of awards to individuals that carved a niches for themselves during the competition, three players from Homat Pivotal school and their coach got the awards.

They included the captain of Homat Pivotal school Gift Oyeku who netted four goals in total to grab the highest goalscorer; best coach of the tournament; Mr. Ibitoye Lateef; the Most Valuable Player; Ogunsanya Titilope and best goalkeeper; Olaniyi.

Speaking with Gift Oyeku, she said she had the believe of lifting the trophy, adding that she had to balance both her academics and involvement in sporting activities.

“I had the confidence before starting the competition.

“It is not every time we go for training, I do read. I spend time in the night to read. My role model is Cristiano Ronaldo. My female role model is Asisat Oshoala.” She said.
